Participating Jurisdictions
All international candidates who sit for the CPA exam must apply for the CPA exam from one of the following states that currently participate in the International Administration of the CPA Examination:

Certain jurisdictions have specific rules and requirements to sit for the Uniform CPA Examination, as well as qualifying for CPA licensure after passing the examination. Before applying in any jurisdiction to take the CPA Examination in an international location, be sure to read:- The Candidate Bulletin
- The International Informed Consent Agreement
- The Jurisdiction’s Information for Applicants
- The Board of Accountancy’s website of the jurisdiction where you wish to apply
Fees
Regardless of which Board of Accountancy has declared you eligible for the examination, in addition to paying any domestic testing fees, you must pay additional fees for each examination section you plan to take internationally.Those fees per examination section are:
Auditing and Attestation (AUD) | $304.65 |
Business Environment and Concepts (BEC) | $323.75 |
Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) | $304.65 |
Regulation (REG) | $323.75 |
Scheduling
The examination will only be offered during the second month of the testing window in international locations. To schedule the CPA Examination in an international location:1. Apply for the examination through a participating state board from the above list. When you submit your application, you may be required to submit some or all of the application and examination fees.
2. After receiving your Notice to Schedule, you may then register to take the examination in an international location and pay the additional fees per examination section. Note: These fees are non-refundable.
a. To complete the registration, please choose the jurisdiction in which you wish to apply from the list above.
b. Next, click the Apply to Test
Internationally link to pay the international fees and complete your
international registration. You will be asked to provide identifying
information, as well as information from your NTS. You will also need a
valid Passport or National ID Card in order to register. Candidates
who complete the registration process can attend the selected
examination section(s) in the selected international location only.
1) If your Mother’s Maiden Name was not
entered on your original application, enter “Unknown” where Mother’s
Maiden Name is requested.
2) When trying to pay the additional
international fees, all of your candidate information must match what we
already have in the system.
Note: After the registration process is complete for each examination section, you will need to wait at least 24 hours before
you schedule your appointment at the testing center through Prometric.
Initially, the examination will be offered internationally during a
one-month testing window per calendar year quarter.
